SCREENING OF 2010/2011 UTME CANDIDATES FOR SECOND CHOICE
ADMISSION

1. The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their Second Choice Most Preferred Institution in the 2010/2011 UTME and scored 200 and above, to submit the results of their SSCE WASC/NECO or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through CLICK HERE on or before Tuesday, 5 October, 2010.

ALL candidates who chose U.I. as their 1st & 2nd Choice institution are eligible to submit
their biodata and results for consideration and likely invitation for the 2nd choice post-UTME interview, using the username & password obtained earlier, provided they were not interviewed during the July 29 2010 post-UTME.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO 1ST CHOICE COURSE OF STUDY OVER THE 2ND CHOICE COURSE, for candidates with freshly released “O” level results.

The teller should have SURNAME and initials of the candidate as in the UTME result slip preceeded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.

(ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing fee of N1,000.00 at the banks, candidates are expected to submit their Teller numbers online. This should be done by logging-in on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration number and submission of a valid e-mail address.

iii) Candidates will receive username and password through their e-mail addresses within 24 hours of submission.

(iv) Candidates are then expected to log-in onto http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to submit their biodata and O’level results.

(v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.

iii) Bona fide applicants can return to the portal, as long as the submission window is still open, to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their submissions.

3. Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (2 Sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.

4. The deadline for submission of ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose results are not submitted at the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.

5. Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Any one found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

AN ARCHITECT WANTED AT CMB INVESTMENT LTD.
CMB Building Maintenance & Investment Ltd requires suitably qualified candidates to fill these positions at a Real Estate Company.
Position: Architect.
Department: Operations.
Reporting To: Manager-Operations.

Education Qualification:
* A minimum of M.Arch/HND Architecture.
* Membership of professional body is added advantage,

Experience:
A minimum of 4 years post NYSC.

Location:
Must be a resident in Abuja or willing to relocate;

Responsibility:
* Preparing and presenting design proposals to the client.
* Using IT in design and project management, specifically software packages such as Auto Cad
keeping within deadlines.
* Producing detailed drawings from which costing is produced.
* Major role in negotiating with contractors and other professionals.
* Coordinating the work of contractors.
* Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed timescale.
* Work closely with other professionals, including engineers and surveyors, to make sure buildings meet the necessary standards.

Others:
* Meet Timelines based on work plan.
* Meet agreed building/project standard.
* Delivering accurate and detailed working drawings within stipulated time.
* Producing detailed and accurate working drawings from which costing are produced.
* Proper documentation of contract drawings.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Coordinate all credit activities to assist in reducing exposure to bad debt.
* Monitor the accurate reporting of sales values.
* Monitor the adequacy of the company’s sales as captured by all the depots.
* Maintain accuracy of distributors records.
* Monitor the distributors account from all depots for accurate posting.
* Proactively assess credit worthiness for new customers.
* Check and approve journal entry into the general ledger.
* Monitor the repatriation of export rebate.
* Monitor export sales to the point of payment.
* Liaise with depot managers for transaction correction.
* Provide support services to other SBUs/Units.

Qualification/Experience:
*Must possess a minimum of second class lower degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
* Have two–three (2-3) years post-qualification experience in the FMCG industry.
* Be an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Association of Chartered Accountants.
* Have a good knowledge of accounting soft-wares, MFG/Pro knowledge would be an advantage. * Be highly computer literate,especially a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Have a sound knowledge of IAS/SAS and IFRS.
* Possess good interpersonal skills.
* Have an eye for details and be self-motivated.
* Must be a good team player.
* Must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work under pressure.

Job Description:
The role of the Floor Manager is to improve the commercial performance of the store by increasing its turnover and maximise profitability.Action will be required in all support functions within the showroom including store operations, customer care, marketing, finance, administration, stock control, health & safety.

The successful candidate will be required to:
* Analyse sales figures/data, interpret trends to facilitate planning and forecasting of future sales volume to maximise profits.Manage and motivate team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
* Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
* Effectively co-ordinate staff including interview of potential, training and development, conduct appraisals and performance reviews.
* Ensure the compliance of standards for quality, customer service, health and safety and resolve legal and security issues where necessary.
* Tour the sales floor regularly, speak with colleagues and respond to customers’ complaints or comments thereby resolving urgent issues.
* Promote the organization locally by liaising with local businesses, newspapers and the community in general.

* Monitor local competitors, market trends in the retail industry and create awareness of forth coming customer initiatives.
*Initiate changes to improve the business e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively with the local market.
* Ensure adherence to the operational procedure manual.

Qualification/Experience:
* Must possess a B.Sc. degree in any engineering related discipline.
* Have excellent customer service, selling and Interpersonal skills.
* Have between 3 -5 years sales management experience with electronics or home appliances in a fast paced environment.
* Have the ability for self-motivation and multi-tasking.
* Possess strong leadership skills and ability to act independently.
* Possess good retail management skills.
