JOB VACANCY FOR TEACHER OF LOWER STRINGS AT A MUSICAL TRAINING SCHOOL.
A reputable school of advanced musical training located in Lagos Nigeria, requires the following for immediate employment.

Job Title: TEACHER OF LOWER STRINGS (CELLO AND DOUBLE BASS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teach advance 'Cello and Double Bass students to grade 8 level in private lessons, and prepare them for solo concert performances.
* Teach 'Cello and Double Bass beginner students to grade 2 level.
* Train lower strings ('Cello and Double Bass) students in the school orchestra in cooperation with the teacher of upper strings.
* Serve as an examiner for 'Cello and Double Bass examinations.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
* At least Bachelor’s Degree in Musical ('Cello performance) or Musical Education (majoring in 'Cello and Double Bass) from a recognized university.
* ABRSM or Trinity practical certificate grade 8 or diploma in 'Cello and Double Bass with teaching qualifications is essential.
* At least 5 years 'Cello and Double Bass teaching experience in secondary for preferably post secondary education is required.
* Working knowledge of instrumental arranging a definite advantage.
* Familiarity with ABRSM requirements and standards is essential.

DURATION/SALARY:
Initial employment is for 6 months after which permanent appointment may be considered.The salary is attractive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
