* The basic salary attached to the position of Research Professor is CONUASS 07.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Research Professor of an Academic Programme (School) is responsible, among other things, to the Director General for the day-to-day administration of the School.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* He/she should not have less than ten (10) years working experience in teaching, research and or professional experience in a University, an Institution of University standing, or comparable institution preferably a higher degree such as a doctorate or its professional equivalent.
* He/she should be able to initiate, develop and supervise research projects.
* Should have some administrative experience.
* Should have scholarly publications in a reputable journal(s),and in the case of books by reputable publishers.
* Should have experience in initiating, developing and directing academic group projects.
* Should have experience in working with inter-disciplinary groups.
* He/she must also have several years experience in teaching/research in the Mathematical Sciences and his/her publications should have established him/her as an authority in his/her area of research interest.
* He/she must have had adequate relevant administrative experience in the running of a Department/school/faculty or similar such unit in a Tertiary Level Institution.
* There should be evidence of academic leadership.
Terms of Appointment and Other Conditions of Service:
* The basic salary attached to the position of Research Professor is CONUASS 07.
* Entry point depends on years of cognate experience.
* Other allowances and fringe benefits are as currently applicable in the Federal Universities as prescribed by the Federal government of Nigeria and as determined from -time to time by the Governing Council of the National Mathematical Centre Abuja.

• Coordinate all serious adverse events and make sure they are reviewed & reported in compliance with SOPs, ICH GCP and local regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATION:
* The ideal candidate must have a very good Health Science Degree from a reputable university with a minimum of 3 years post NYSC.

* A scientific or paramedical background, fluency in English and a working knowledge of French will be required.

Those applying for the posts of Computer Operators, Drivers, Mechanics, Motorcycle Riders, Electricians, Instrumentalists, Tailor etc must possess the following:
i. A minimum of 4 passes in SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC (NABTEB).
ii. Trade Test and or other professional Certificate.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
* Candidates are to purchase Application Forms from FRSC State Commands at the cost of one thousand naira (N1,000) only on the presentation of the following documents:
- Relevant academic and professional certificates.
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.

- Four (4) standard passport photographs.
* OTHER CONDITIONS:
- Computer literacy and possess of valid driver’s license shall be added advantage for all cadres.
- Any Certificate or qualification not declared or tendered and accepted at the time of recruitment cannot be subsequently presented for career progression in the Corps.
- Applicants must be Nigerians by birth or descent.
- Applicants must be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
- Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 30 years of age.
- Female applicants must be single and must produce pregnancy test certificate from a government hospital.
- Applicants must not be less than 1.7 metres tall for male and 1.64 metres for femaleh.
Note:Any SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC (NABTEB) certificate obtained earlier than 2000 would not be accepted for the RMA category only.
- ND/HND Certificates must be from recognized Monotechnics, Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology.
- Medical and Allied professionals must possess current practicing licences while lawyers must have been called to Bark. Male applicants must have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metre.
- Applicants must be free from any form of financial embarrassment, be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

• Evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions by collating and analyzing feedback from trainees.
• Developing programs to enhance training curriculum.
KEY KNOWLEDGE:
• Understanding of the Nigerian power sector (Transmission, Distribution, Generation),knowing the key concepts and variables.
• Deep practical and technical knowledge of power transmission and distribution networks.
• Demonstrable knowledge of power system protection and substation automation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of functions, features, and potential applications of electronic systems (like protection, substation automation, etc) or mechanical systems (like switchgears).
• Extensive experience using communication solutions for utilities and industries.
• Familiarity with Siemens Power generation, transmission and distribution products is desirable.
• High proficiency and understanding of computer applications.
• Advanced presentation Skills.
• Presents information effectively and persuasively across communication settings.
• Questioning Skill- gathering information from stimulating insight in individuals and groups through use of interviews, questionnaires, and other probing methods.Also,handles work of diverse scope and complexity.
• Grasps technical concepts and communicates them effectively.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience, preferably in the areas of power plant commissioning, planning or maintenance.Also, experience with customer trainings is required.

URGENT VACANCY AT WORLD BANK.
The Job: Procurement Specialist, Abuja.
The World Bank requires the services of a Procurement Specialist to be based in Abuja.This position is geared to assisting the World Bank staff, Nigeria Government, and other agencies in implementing World Bank-financed programs by providing critical procurement advice and support.
The incumbent will respond to the increasing demand to provide procurement support to World Bank operations in Nigeria and other countries as required from time to time.
Requirements:
•Must possess a Masters degree with a major in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Law, Procurement, Finance, Business or Commerce) and relevant training in procurement work.
•Must have at least five (5) years of direct relevant work experience as Procurement Specialist or alternatively, having had responsibilities with a substantial content of his/her position in the procurement area in or outside the World Bank.
•Must have good knowledge of all concepts and principles of/and approaches to international procurement, and of public procurement systems.
•He/she must have knowledge and understanding of technical, commercial and legal aspects of procurement at all phases of Bank lending operations.
•Must demonstrate analytical clarity, problem-solving skills and negotiating skills with ability to balance project objectives and procurement requirements with client needs.
•Must have Task/ Project management skills.
•Strong communication skills in presenting, discussing and resolving difficult issues, both orally and in writing, and excellent listening skills is required.
•Ability to deal sensitively with a multi-cultural environment and build effective business relationships with clients and colleagues within a matrix management environment.
•Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with a matrix management environment.
•Exceptional degree of integrity, judgment and tact in handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.
•Understanding of Bank business objectives, policies and practices related to project/sector and critical links to procurement is desirable. •Knowledge and experience in e-procurement will be an added advantage.
