REGIONAL MARKETING AND SALES MANAGERS, NORTH AND SOUTH.
Obasanjo Holdings Ltd was established about 31 years ago to carry out developmental strategies and research.The group has grown to become one of the largest and most successful group of companies that engaged in commercial, large scale agriculture, and agro allied businesses, not only in Nigeria,but also in some other countries of Africa.
Through a carefully planned organic development process, the Group now has a substantial enterprises engaged nationwide.These include amongst others, basic agriculture, poultry farming, animal husbandry, fish farming, rabbitry, feed mills, chicken and livestock processing and packaging industries. It also has a number of industrial starch and glucose manufacturing entities. It's agricultural research establishment is about the most successful in Africa, having produced several patented and patentable results, which have become commercially successful. These include the African continent’s first set of pure lines of broiler breeds called “Obamarshall”, and layer breeds named “Obalayer” breeds. The Group now has a workforce of nearly 7 ,000 staffs who are well motivated and loyal employees, a majority of whom, have been with the Group for over 20 years.
As part of its “next level”corporate transformation initiatives, the company requires the services of well motivated professionals to occopy the vacant positions that exist in the company.These are:
• REGIONAL MARKETING AND SALES MANAGER, NORTH and
• REGIONAL MARKETING AND SALES MANAGER, SOUTH
THE JOBS:
Reporting to the Group Executive Director, Marketing and Sales.Each of the two Regional Marketing and Sales Managers, will have responsibility for the following amongst others:
• Overall responsibility for the effectiveness of all marketing and sales activities, throughout the region and in the adjoining countries in West and Central Africa.
• Submission to Group Senior Management and defence of marketing and sales quarterly and yearly forecasts, budgets, plans, strategies and resource requirements.
• Maintenance of effective and profitable business relationships with intra-group and external customers.
• Brand management, superior, proactive sales promotion, and the attainment of growth targets, and on-the-supermarket-shelf benchmarks, as agreed with the Management;
• Development and sustenance of a cost-effective and region-wide Market Intelligence system.
• Training, developing, deploying,effective supervision and control of the regional marketing and sales personnel, in an environment of high passion, impeccable integrity and high ethical standards.
• Establishment and continuous improvement of efficient marketing and sales record keeping, furnishing of periodic, timely, accurate and reliable performance data, planning statistics, market outlook and market intelligence, to the Group Head Office.
• Intensive engagement and collaboration with supplier companies, customers and staffs, towards the development of new and profitable products, and improvements to existing product recipes, pricing, packaging and of branding.
• Serving from time to time as a member of Multi -Disciplinary Teams of Experts (MTEs), established to other agricultural projects consultancies, governments and authorities within Nigeria and beyond.
THE PERSON:
• Applicants should be aged between 35-40 and possess a Masters degree, a first class upper or second class degree in any discipline, along with a recognized professional qualification, plus a minimum of 5 years marketing experience in similar position and marketing of meat products, in a first class establishment.
• Ability to converse in more than one main Nigerian language, and/or in French will be an added advantage.
REMUNERATION:
Each position carries a large amount of authority, a conducive working environment together with an attractive pay package, an official car and a generous rent subsidy.
